About Us

At THEKER, we’re taking on one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century: redefining how physical work gets done in the world.

We are a robotics and AI company building intelligent, adaptable systems that solve problems traditional automation never could. From Barcelona, our mission is to create a generation-defining company leading the robotics revolution.

By joining us, you will have the chance to do the most meaningful work of your life, setting a new standard for industrial automation and driving breakthroughs with global reach, while being surrounded by a focused, talent-dense team that shares this ambition and is here to win.

Your role

We are looking for an Industrial Systems Engineer to play a key role in enabling THEKER’s growth through structured, scalable deployments.

You will sit at the intersection of engineering and customer delivery, ensuring that our robotic systems are clearly defined, documented and structured for real-world installations. Your work will directly impact how fast and reliably we can deploy new systems, replicate projects and expand across customers.

Beyond customer deployments, you will also help formalize and protect our innovation by structuring technical knowledge in support of our intellectual and industrial property strategy. This role turns engineering complexity into scalable assets that accelerate growth.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics or similar).

  • Strong understanding of physical systems and how they are deployed in industrial environments.

  • Experience or exposure to:

    • system layouts or installation structures

    • technical documentation or engineering office roles

    • validation, compliance or certification processes

    • project or process engineering

  • Ability to structure complex technical information clearly and rigorously.

  • Fluent technical English.

  • Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate (100% on-site).

Nice to have (not required)

  • Exposure to intellectual or industrial property processes.

  • Experience in regulated or standards-driven industries (industrial automation, robotics, automotive, aerospace, medical devices, etc.).

  • Experience supporting customer deployments or industrial installations.

  • Outstanding academic background.

You’ll thrive at THEKER if

  • You’re excited by a fast-paced and ambitious environment. The opportunity ahead of us is enormous, and we’re going all in to capture it.

  • You want responsibility early on, delivering at world-class standards for leading clients.

  • You enjoy experimenting, iterating quickly, and embracing change as part of the learning process.

  • You’re open to feedback, collaborative, and enjoy making decisions as a team

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system layouts and deployment structures for customer installations.

  • Structure and formalize technical documentation that enables scalable and repeatable deployments.

  • Capture and organize key system knowledge: components, requirements, constraints, suppliers and evolution.

  • Support intellectual and industrial property efforts by preparing structured technical material.

  • Identify regulatory and certification implications when introducing new technologies.

  • Work closely with engineering and operations to ensure alignment between product design and real-world deployment

What we offer

  • Being part of a fast-growing robotics and AI company with huge ambition, where your career can accelerate alongside us.

  • The chance to make a real impact from day one, building robotics solutions with global reach.

  • A focused, talent-dense team of passionate innovators who live and breathe robotics.

  • An environment where new ideas are encouraged, and your contributions shape both the product and the company.

  • 100% on-site work in Barcelona.

What the process looks like

  1. Intro call with Martín (Chief of Staff).

  2. Technical challenge (take-home).

  3. Conversation with our technical team.

  4. Meet the rest of the team and founders and work together on a live challenge at our offices.

These steps can be completed in 7 days.
